In a Zoom meeting video employees can be seen arguing over the Hindi language has now gone viral. The employees started the conversation in English and then quickly started the conversation in Hindi so another employee asked the other to talk in English.

On December 30, 2023, The video was posted on a ‘Ghar ke Kalesh’ page on the social media platform X (formally Twitter), saying, “Kalesh b/w Colleagues over one Guy was speaking Hindi during Team Zoom meeting.”

One of the users responded on the video saying, “In my 16 years of IT career I never initiated regional language discussion during any team meeting since we know not everyone understand all the language so keep it common however I get surprised when the initiation comes for client leaders, does not matter which state they come from be it Maha or TN or KN or WB or even Delhi the language will he Hindi if they are just all them or even me the call.”

“I never mind and why should I. So yes these are petty issues there is something called politeness like one of the guys here, keep the language common so all can understand, ask them before if they are all fine with the language, I faced situations in Hyderabad long back, we go in grp for lunch outside and then a couple of them start talking in local language and laugh, so we for some time become aliens in that group and just move on, not become activists”, the post added.
