Airtel Strengthens HR Leadership with Vamsi Dasetty’s Promotion

Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom companies, has announced the promotion of Vamsi Dasetty as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head – HR – Network and People Analytics.

Before this, he was working as Senior Vice President, Head- Total Rewards and HR Analytics.

New Role and Responsibilities at Airtel

In his new role as SVP-HR, Network and People Analytics, Vamsi will oversee human resources for Airtel’s network functions and lead the company’s people analytics initiatives.

He will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the network leadership team, embodying Airtel’s ethos of “Be Limitless” in delivering value to internal and external customers.

He will do so by leveraging innovative analytics and strategic HR solutions.

Background and Experience

Vamsi Dasetty joined Airtel in 2020 as Vice President, Head of Total Rewards and HR Analytics.

Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.

His contributions have been instrumental in shaping transformative frameworks to attract, engage, and retain top-tier talent.

Before joining Airtel, Vamsi held leadership positions at prominent organizations such as Ola (ANI Technologies), Vodafone, Cairn India, and McKinsey & Company.

At Ola, he served as Group Head of Performance and Rewards.

He designed progressive rewards charters for its diverse businesses, including Ola Mobility and Ola Electric Mobility.

His expertise in managing rewards, business partnering, organizational development, and change management has been recognized across various sectors.
