NATHEALTH Appoints Ameera Shah as President for FY 2025-2026

Ameera Shah, Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, has been appointed as the President of NATHEALTH – Healthcare Federation of India for FY 2025-2026.

The announcement was made by Ameera herself through a LinkedIn post, where she expressed her gratitude and outlined her vision for the future of Indian healthcare.

This marks a significant leadership transition for NATHEALTH, an apex body dedicated to shaping the healthcare landscape in India.

Ameera Shah succeeds Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., as the President of NATHEALTH. The new leadership team includes:

  • Dr. Sangita Reddy: Senior Vice President, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.
  • Himanshu Baid: Vice President, Managing Director of Poly Medicure Ltd.
  • Varun Khanna: Secretary, Group Managing Director of Quality Care India Ltd.
  • Dr. Rishubh Gupta: Treasurer, Managing Director for India and Neighboring Markets at Roche Diagnostics India Pvt Ltd.

This team is poised to address systemic challenges in the healthcare sector and drive initiatives that enhance access to quality care.

Ameera has over 24 years of experience at Metropolis Healthcare.

She has played a key role in transforming the organization from a single laboratory in Mumbai into a globally accredited pathology services provider.

Her strategic insights and leadership have made international-standard pathology both affordable and accessible across diverse socio-economic segments.

An alumna of the Owner-President Management Program at Harvard Business School, Ameera brings a global perspective to her role at NATHEALTH.
