Qualcomm Elevates Pooja Joshi to Senior Director, HRBP

Qualcomm has appointed Pooja Joshi as its new Senior Director, HR Business Partner.

In a LinkedIn post, Pooja sahered that she reflected on her 18-year journey with the company and expressed enthusiasm for this new chapter.

Her appointment comes at a time when Qualcomm is deepening its focus on employee experience, leadership development, and inclusive workplace culture, areas where Pooja has already made a lasting impact.

A Career Rooted in People, Purpose, and Progress

Pooja Joshi’s career at Qualcomm spans nearly two decades, during which she has held a variety of leadership roles across HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Her most recent position was as Global Director of DEI, where she led initiatives across 30+ countries to embed inclusive practices into the company’s culture and operations.

Prior to joining Qualcomm, Pooja held HR leadership roles at Tata AIG and Novartis, gaining experience across regions including India, the U.S., and the broader MEMSA (Middle East, Mediterranean, South Asia) region.

A Personal Reflection on Leadership and Growth

In her LinkedIn post, Pooja described the new role as a culmination of the relationships and lessons that have shaped her leadership style.

She emphasized her commitment to leading with empathy, partnering with purpose, and building programs that elevate both business and employee experience.

She also expressed gratitude to Heather Ace, Qualcomm’s Chief Human Resources Officer, calling her “the gold standard of leadership” and acknowledging her influence on Joshi’s professional journey.

“Each role has deepened my understanding of people, purpose, and leadership,” Pooja wrote.

She added, “This next step brings together the relationships and lessons that have shaped me.”
