UltraTech Cement Appoints Adit Ahuja as Joint President – HR

UltraTech Cement, a leading player in the cement industry, has appointed Adit Ahuja as Joint President – Human Resources.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Adit will oversee HR functions across cement marketing, sales, logistics, and more.

Responsibilities at UltraTech Cement

In his new role, Adit will be responsible for heading and driving the HR agenda for cement marketing, sales, logistics, commercial functions, and two exciting businesses: Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) and Building Products Division (BPD).

His focus will be on managing workforce strategies, talent development, and HR operations across multiple business segments.

Adit’s appointment comes at a time when the cement and building materials industry is experiencing increased competition.

His expertise in HR strategy, organizational development, rewards management, and talent acquisition will be crucial in optimizing workforce efficiency and enhancing talent retention strategies.

Adit’s leadership will ensure that HR initiatives align with UltraTech Cement’s business objectives, driving employee engagement and effective workforce management.

Adit Ahuja’s Background

Adit Ahuja brings a wealth of experience to his new role at UltraTech Cement.

Prior to joining the company, he served as the Head of Human Resources – Ethnic Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd.

In this role, he was responsible for driving the people agenda for premium brands such as Sabyasachi, Shantanu & Nikhil, TASVA, Jaypore, and House of Masaba.

Adit also spearheaded HR operations across performance management, rewards, digital transformation, and talent acquisition.

Before his tenure at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Adit held leadership positions at Tata Consumer Products and Tata Group.

In these roles, he contributed to talent acquisition, performance management, and HR transformation.

He also spent time at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), leading compensation and benefits for over 10,000 employees.

Adit holds an MBA in HR from SIES College of Management Studies, equipping him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in his new role.
