GlobalLogic, a digital engineering company under the Hitachi Group, has announced plans to significantly expand its workforce in India.

The company aims to increase its headcount from approximately 15,000 to 20,000-22,000 employees over the next two to three years.

GlobalLogic Expansion Plans

The expansion will focus on various sectors, including technology, healthcare, automotive, and banking.

GlobalLogic plans to tap into India’s vast talent pool, particularly in cities like Hyderabad, which has become a hub for digital innovation and engineering excellence.

The company recently inaugurated a new delivery centre in Hyderabad, which will initially house 600 engineers and is expected to grow to 2,000 employees over the next three years.

As part of its expansion strategy, GlobalLogic has opened a new 38,000-square-foot facility in Hyderabad.

This facility is being touted as an innovation hub and will focus on key areas such as software engineering, data analytics, cloud computing, and emerging technologies like generative AI.

The company is also considering expanding its operations to other tier-2 and tier-3 cities in India, such as Nizamabad and Karimnagar.

Integration of Acquired Talent and Leadership’s Vision

Following its recent acquisition of Mobiveil, a semiconductor design services company, GlobalLogic plans to integrate many former Mobiveil employees into its new Hyderabad centre.

This move will further strengthen the company’s capabilities in digital engineering and enhance its service offerings across various sectors.

Piyush Jha, Managing Director and Head of APAC at GlobalLogic, expressed excitement about leveraging Hyderabad’s strengths to enhance the company’s engineering capabilities.

He emphasized the importance of attracting talent with expertise in new-age technologies, particularly in generative AI, to meet the increasing demands of global clients.

Economic Impact and Job Creation by GlobalLogic

The expansion will have a significant economic impact on India, creating thousands of new job opportunities and contributing to the country’s growth in the technology sector.

GlobalLogic’s recruitment drive will focus on attracting both experienced professionals and fresh graduates, providing a wide range of career opportunities in the digital engineering field.

GlobalLogic’s ambitious expansion plans underscore its commitment to fostering local talent and driving innovation in India.

By increasing its workforce to 22,000 employees by 2026, the company aims to solidify its position as a leading player in the digital engineering industry and contribute to India’s technological advancement.
