EPAM Systems, the US-based digital transformation services and product engineering company, is poised to achieve a remarkable milestone in its India operations.

The company’s employee strength in India is set to hit the 10,000 mark by early 2025, reflecting an impressive tenfold surge in its India headcount over the past decade.

EPAM: Journey So Far and Strategic Expansion

EPAM Systems entered the Indian market through the acquisition of Alliance Global Services in 2015.

At that time, Alliance Global had approximately 1,000 employees based in Hyderabad.

Fast forward to today, and EPAM India has expanded its footprint across multiple cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and Gurugram.

As of the end of 2023, EPAM India already boasted a workforce of 7,050 talented professionals.

The decision to expand its India team further aligns with EPAM’s strategy to leverage India’s growing talent pool.

India now constitutes around 20% of EPAM’s global workforce, which currently stands at 52,650 employees.

This expansion underscores EPAM’s commitment to the Indian market.

It also reflects the company’s confidence in the country’s skilled workforce and its ability to drive innovation and excellence.

CFO Jason Peterson’s Insights

Jason Peterson, EPAM’s Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Treasurer, shared his optimism about the company’s growth trajectory.

He anticipates a return to revenue growth in 2025.

Alongside this, EPAM aims to increase its India headcount to around 10,000, by the first quarter of next year.

Jason’s confidence in EPAM India’s potential speaks volumes about the company’s vision and its belief in the talent pool available in the country.

EPAM’s expansion in India is a testament to its success. It is also a positive sign for the broader IT and technology industry.

As companies increasingly look to India for skilled professionals, EPAM’s growth serves as an encouraging example.

It highlights India’s position as a hub for digital transformation, software engineering, and innovation.
