Infosys New Hiring Approach Requires Candidates to Log In

Infosys, India’s second-largest software services company, has recently implemented a significant change in its hiring process.

Instead of sending job offer letters and attachments via email, the company now requires new recruits to access their job application details through the company’s internal system.

This move aims to prevent fraudulent recruitment practices, enhance the candidate experience, and promote a paperless system.

Infosys New Approach to Hiring

Infosys has discontinued issuing job offer letters and attachments via email. Both freshers and laterals are now directed to log in to the company’s internal system to access their job application details.

By adopting this approach, the company seeks to prevent recruitment fraud. Scammers often post fake jobs or contact jobseekers with fraudulent offers, and this change helps safeguard candidates.

The shift to an internal system streamlines the process and ensures that candidates receive authentic information directly from Infosys.

The Indian software services industry has faced controversies related to delayed onboarding of freshers. The company aims to address this issue by ensuring a smoother hiring process.

Previously, some candidates would take their offer letters to rival employers for “window shopping” and negotiation. The new system makes this practice more difficult.

Validation Process and Statistics

Candidates can access their offer letters and associated documents using their login credentials on Infosys’ career site. Infosys explicitly states that it no longer sends offer letters via email with attachments.

In fiscal year 2024, Infosys received a staggering 2,436,929 employment applications, interviewed 194,367 applicants, and extended offers to 26,975 candidates. These figures exclude data from Infosys’ subsidiaries.

Beyond fraud prevention, this move aligns with Infosys’ sustainability plans. The company has been redesigning its offices to cater to the “new normal” of work.
