Infosys, a global tech giant, has recently announced a strategic collaboration with Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand.

This collaboration aims to drive innovation and accelerate the development of cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) technologies.

The centerpiece of this partnership is the establishment of a state-of-the-art Technology Hub in Bengaluru, India.

Sven Bauer, Head of Software at Polestar, said, “Polestar is starting a new chapter in the company’s global setup with our partner Infosys in Bengaluru.”

Sven added, “We look forward to building automotive competence in the Polestar Tech Hub to support our growing vehicle portfolio and new model launches.”

The Technology Hub in Bengaluru

Infosys will set up a global technology hub for Polestar within its existing development center in Bengaluru. This hub will serve as a focal point for EV software development and validation across various domains.

The hub will focus on enhancing the in-car experience for Polestar’s electric vehicles. This includes developing intuitive interfaces, seamless connectivity, and entertainment features.

Infosys and Polestar will collaborate on ADAS technologies, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and collision avoidance systems. These features are critical for ensuring safety and improving driving comfort.

Telematics solutions enable real-time communication between vehicles and external systems.

Infosys will contribute its expertise in building robust telematics platforms. This will allow Polestar to offer advanced features like remote diagnostics, over-the-air updates, and predictive maintenance.

Maria Lexe, Head of Digital at Polestar, said, “Polestar is excited to partner with Infosys to establish a tech hub in India.”

She added, “Infosys has a successful background with similar operations, and we are confident in their ability to lead this tech hub in order to generate IT efficiencies and empower innovation.”

Infosys and Polestar Collaboration: Impact and Future Prospects

Bengaluru, often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India, is a hub for technology innovation.

Its ecosystem of skilled engineers, research institutions, and tech companies makes it an ideal location for collaboration.

By leveraging Bengaluru’s talent pool, Infosys and Polestar aim to accelerate their joint efforts in shaping the future of electric mobility.

Jasmeet Singh, Executive VP and Global Head of Manufacturing, Infosys, shared his comments on the same.

He said, “We are excited to announce our partnership with Polestar for their strategic India Tech Hub initiative.”

Jasmeet added, “We believe that this collaboration will enhance Polestar’s digital roadmap by leveraging India’s well-regarded software and automotive engineering talent pool.”

“Building on Infosys’ extensive experience in automotive engineering, digital transformation, and global delivery leadership, we aim to bring the infrastructure and innovation to co-create next generation EV capabilities,” he added.

Jasmeet said, “We will work closely with Polestar’s global design and development hubs to set new standards in next-gen mobility.”

Infosys brings its deep expertise in digital services, cloud computing, and AI-driven solutions. By collaborating with Polestar, they can co-create innovative solutions that redefine the EV landscape.

Polestar, known for its high-performance electric cars, gains access to Infosys’ global network and customer base. This collaboration opens doors to new markets and potential customers.

Electric mobility is a key driver in achieving a sustainable future. Infosys and Polestar’s joint efforts contribute to reducing carbon emissions and promoting cleaner transportation alternatives.
