An Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company, Tech Mahindra has asked its employees to Return to the Office three days in-office per week, effective 1 April 2024.

Currently, the company implements a “settling period” in March, during which employees are required to work in the office for two days per week (eight days total in March).

The email was shared by the livemint saying, “With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that Tech Mahindra is preparing to welcome you back to office.”

“We recognize the value of face-to-face interaction and the benefits it brings to our team dynamics”, the mail further added.

“Therefore, we have devised a plan to reintroduce office-based work gradually, starting with three days in-office per week (12 days per month) starting 1 April 2024,” the mail said.

The announcement follows when its peers, the leading IT giants including IBM, Wipro, and TCS have asked its employees to work from office.

Recently, Cognizant in India asked employees to work from the office thrice a week. Cognizant’s CEO Ravi Kumar S communicated with employees via email that it is expected to be in the office an average of three days per week, or as defined by their team leader.

Infosys employees from select business units at Infosys can utilize InfyMe, an employee experience platform, to apply for work-from-home (WFH) up to 11 days per month.

In December, Infosys instructed employees to work from office (WFO) at least three days a week.

Recently, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) issued a final notice to remote-working employees and asked them to resume work from the office starting in March.

IBM has asked its employees in the US to return to the office at least three days a week. The company has asked its employees to relocate, by August 1, 2024, to access an IBM U.S. location.

Wipro has ended work from Home and employees are required to report to the office three days a week, effective from November 15, 2023.
