Havells India Promotes Preemita Singh to President & CHRO

Havells India has promoted Preemita Singh to the role of President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Preemita’s elevation comes after two impactful years of leading Havells’ HR function, during which she played a central role in reshaping the organization’s talent and culture agenda.

A Career Built on Strategic HR Transformation

Preemita Singh brings over 25 years of experience in human resources across Indian and global markets.

Her career began in 2000 at Thermax as an HR management trainee, followed by roles at EY, CSC, and Max Life Insurance, where she led organization and staffing initiatives.

In 2015, she joined ICRA as Group HR Head, driving transformation across its subsidiaries.

Most recently, she served as CHRO at Hero Fincorp, where she also led CSR efforts for over four years.

Preemita holds a master’s degree in Labour Laws and Welfare from Symbiosis Law College, and is widely recognized for her stakeholder-centric approach, execution strength, and ability to foster inclusive workplace cultures.

Driving HR Innovation at Havells

Preemita joining Havells, Singh has led a series of strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing the company’s HR practices.

Her leadership has focused on:

  • Aligning talent strategy with business goals
  • Championing meritocracy and performance-based growth
  • Embedding a culture of empathy and collaboration
  • Strengthening leadership development and succession planning
  • Leveraging digital tools for workforce agility and learning

Under her guidance, Havells has made notable progress in building a future-ready HR function, with emphasis on continuous learning, data-driven decision-making, and employee engagement.
